PORT DICKSON – Tan Sri Rais Yatim is confident that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim can win by merely ‘whistling’ if more than 70 percent of the voters in Port Dickson come out to vote.
At the same time, the Chairman of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) in Negeri Sembilan denied the voters’ perception on ‘Anwar can win, we don’t need to vote.’
“If more than 70 percent of the voters come out to vote, we can simply consider that Anwar can win by merely whistling.
“Nevertheless, we need to overcome several challenges before 13 October. We need to strategize on continuous campaigning,” he said when met at the by-election campaign programme with the retirees at Teluk Kemang last night.
Rais said, the voters in Port Dickson are confident that Anwar is not a common candidate.
“Therefore, Anwar, as the candidate, needs the help from each community segment to register something impactful which can further convince that this future Prime Minister can contribute to the area.
“As one of the person who had lived in Port Dickson, I am sure that Anwar is attractive in his own way to be a leader, coupled with Tun Mahathir and will continue to bring a new aura and excellence to Port Dickson,” he said. -MalaysiaGazette
