KUALA LUMPUR – The Sungai Plong Mosque congregation near Sungai Buloh was shocked when a wild boar charged into the mosque during their Isyak prayer.

The boar was chasing some children outside the mosque before it ran into the praying area of the mosque.

The bewildered animal was injured on its neck then charged a member of the congregation causing the man to suffer cuts and lacerations on his body in the 8.00 p.m. incident, said the imam of the mosque, Ungku Ahmad Hazwan Ungku Kamarudin in the social media page of the mosque.

“The congregation tried to save themselves and some tried to chase the animal away from the praying area.

“After it was successfully baited out, the animal then rammed into two motorcycles before being shot dead by a member of the congregation who owns a shotgun,” he said.

According to Ungku Ahmad Hazwan, the mosque has also contacted the police.

They will be seeking help from the Selangor Mufti Department to assist in this problem.

“They will be here tomorrow to assess the problem and advise us on the cleansing of the carpet and areas of the mosque. Prayers will go on as usual in the areas not affected by the incident. –MalaysiaGazette
