KUALA LUMPUR – Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has been ordered to enter defence by the Kuala Lumpur High Court after the prosecution managed to establish prima facie on the three corruption charges against her over the solar hybrid project for 369 rural schools in Sarawak.
High Court Judge Zaini Mazlan who started reading his judgement on Rosmah’s case at 9.45am delivered the verdict today.
The prosecution was led by Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram while the wife of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was represented by Datuk Jagjit Singh and Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kadir.
“The prosecution has successfully established the prima facie of the case on the accused over all three charges. With this, I order the accused to enter defence,” he said.
Rosmah, who was in the accused dock was then given three options to either remain silent and not answer the accusation, to testify while not under oath from the accused dock where she cannot be cross examined, or, the third option, to testify under oath and the prosecution is given the opportunity to cross examine her.
Rosmah then chose to testify under oath and the prosecution are allowed to do cross-examination on her. -MalaysiaGazette
