KUALA LUMPUR – Parents who wish to travel interstate and inter-district to sent their children back to their school or dormitory no longer need to apply for police approval.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that they only need to show the letter issued by the school during roadblocks.
“It has been discussed with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the police at all districts nationwide have been informed about this.
“I believe that there is no issue at the roadblocks when the parents send their children to their dormitories or schools,” he said in a news conference today.
In another development, Ismail Sabri said that the government has also decided to allow seminars, incentives, conference and exhibition (MICE) in Movement Control Order (MCO) areas.
However, he said that the number of attendees is limited to 25 percent of the premise capacity.
He said, the MICE will be allowed beginning 5 March. –MalaysiaGazette
