KUALA LUMPUR – There is a slight drop of Covid-19 positive cases today with 19,268 cases reported for the past 24 hours compared to 20,579 cases yesterday.
Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said, the latest increment shifted the cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country to 1,725,357 cases.
He said, Selangor continued to record the highest number of daily cases with 3,567, shifting its cumulative score to 599,624 cases.
However, the number of new cases in the state has decreased by 1,024 cases from 4,591 cases yesterday.
The breakdown of cases according to states is:
Selangor 3,567 (599,624) cases
Sabah 2,310 (145,249) cases
Johor 2,265 (136,488) cases
Kedah 2,084 (97,100) cases
Sarawak 2,028 (114,273) cases
Penang 1,780 (84,759) cases
Kelantan 1,308 (76,047) cases
Perak 1,144 (66,889) cases
Pahang 788 (43,335) cases
Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur 672 (172,236) caases
Terengganu 544 (32,884) cases
Melaka 395 (48,141) cases
Negeri Sembilan 269 (91,261) cases
Perlis 71 (1,890) cases
Federal Territory Putrajaya 41 (5,373) cases
Federal Territory Labuan 2 (9,808) cases
Meanwhile, he also said that the daily Covid-19 ward statistics at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) in Klang also showed a reduction in its admission and death rate and at the same time, has an increment of discharge and recovery. –MalaysiaGazette
