KUALA LUMPUR – The Covid-19 infections escalated again today with 20,988 cases reported in the country.

The addition increases the cumulative Covid-19 cases to 1,786,004 cases.

Based on the data shared by the Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today, Selangor remained as the highest contributor to the pandemic with 4,073 cases.

It is followed by Sarawak (2,992), Sabah (2,329), Kedah (2,455), Johor (2,145), Penang (1,600) and Kelantan (1,247).

Meanwhile, eight states recorded below 1,000 cases in Perak (990), Terengganu (987), Kuala Lumpur (731), Pahang (599), Melaka (407), Perlis (90), Putrajaya (37) and Labuan (5). – MalaysiaGazette
