KUALA LUMPUR – “Do we need to hire ministerial status Special Ambassadors when we already have many ministers and professional diplomats as ambassadors and high commissioners?” Datuk A. Kadir Jasin questioned.
He questioned the reappointment of Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang as the Special Ambassador to Middle East, Datuk Seri Tiong King Seng as the Special Envoy to China and Datuk Sri Richard Riot to East Asia.
Abdul Hadi is the President of PAS, meanwhile, King Seng is the President of Progressive Democratic Party (PDP), meanwhile, Richard Riot is the Deputy President of Parti Rakyat Bersatu Sarawak.
A. Kadir further questioned their actual duty and key performance index (KPI) other than voting for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He questioned about their contributions that could match their salaries and various benefits that they enjoy.
The veteran journalist also questioned the amount of taxes paid by the people that are used to ensure their comfort each year.
“If the Malaysian Parliament truly play its role in check and balance for the country and the people, these are among the compulsory questions that must be asked and answered,” he said. –MalaysiaGazette
