PUTRAJAYA – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob hoped that the political scenario in Melaka would be stabilized despite the rift yesterday.

However, also said that no one can predict or speculate accurately on what would happen in politics.

“We don’t know. Anything can happen in politics. Impossible would become possible. We cannot speculate accurately on what would happen.

“Now, after the MoU was signed between the government and the opposition, we can see that the politics is more stable, not only in the Parliament but also nationwide. It is stable and the people are happy with that. No excessive politicking like it used to be,” he told the media practitioners today.

Yesterday, the former Chief Minister of Melaka from Barisan Nasional (BN-UMNO), Datuk Seri Idris Haron along with three other State Assemblymen from BN, Perikatan Nasional and Independent announced their withdrawal of support on the state government led by Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali.

The three other State Assemblymen are Datuk Nor Azman Hassan (BN-Pantai Kundor), Datuk Noor Effandi Ahmad (BERSATU-Telok Mas) and Datuk Norhizam Hassan Baktee (Independent-Pengkalan Batu). – MalaysiaGazette
