SHAH ALAM – 142 areas in the Petaling and Klang districts will be experiencing water supply disruption following a pipe burst at Section 15, Shah Alam.
In a statement today, Air Selangor said that the incident was caused by road construction works by third party at the Federal Highway yesterday.
Therefore, Air Selangor has carried out emergency pipe repair works at 3.00 pm today.
“The repair works will cause unscheduled water disruption to 142 areas in the Petaling and Kang districts.
“The works is projected to be completed at 3.00 am (27 January 2022) and the water supply will be channeled in stages to the users’ premises after the repair works are completed.
“The water supply recovery period may differ from one area to another, depending on the location and distance of the premises,” said the statement.
Throughout that period, Air Selangor will be mobilizing its water tanks to the affected areas by prioritising critical premises as alternative assistance.
“Air Selangor urges the public cooperation in obeying physical distancing and wearing the face mask while getting water supply from the tanker lorries,” it said.
