KUALA LUMPUR – 13,336 Covid-19 positive cases were reported yesterday. From that amount, 13,147 cases involved local infection while 189 cases were imported.

With the latest addition, the cumulative Covid-19 cases in Malaysia has increased to 4,152,203 cases.

Meanwhile, 54 Covid-19 deaths were recorded yesterday with 16 cases of brought-in dead (BID).

Selangor recorded the highest number of deaths with 13 cases, followed by Perak (nine), Kuala Lumpur (eight); Kedah and Negeri Sembilan (five each); Johor, Sarawak and Terengganu (three each); Kelantan and Melaka (two each) and Penang (one).

However, no death was reported in Pahang, Perlis, Sabah, Labuan and Putrajaya.

220,270 active Covid-19 cases were reported in the country as of last midnight, including 288 in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where 185 required respiratory support.

At the same time, 25,552 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the infection. -MalaysiaGazette
