KUALA LUMPUR – The former Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN), Tan Sri Ali Hamsa has passed away at the Dublin Hospital in Ireland today.
He was 64 years old.
The Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali expressed his condolences to the family of Ali.
“Truly, his demise in the holy month of Ramadan is a huge loss to the country and public services,” he said.
Ali was a huge icon in the national public services. He was appointed as the 13th KSN on 24 June 2012 until 28 August 2018. He joined the administrative and diplomatic services in 1981.
He served in various ministries and departments such as the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Ministry of Transport, Economic Planning Unit, National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), Public Services Department and the Public Private Partnership Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department. -MalayiaGazette
