KUALA LUMPUR – 472 areas in the Klang Valley will be experiencing unscheduled water disruption from 3.00 pm onwards today (3 May).
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn. Bhd. said in a statement that the water disruption is caused by the water pollution detected at the Jenderam Hilir Raw Water Pump Station.
It said, the pollution was due to the temporary stop work of the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant (LRA) at 6.15 am and the Bukit Tampoi LRA at 11.30 am.
The districts that will be experiencing the water disruption are Petaling (172 areas), Hulu Langat (54 areas), Sepang (196 areas), Putrajaya (23 areas) and Kuala Langat (27 areas).
“Alternative assistance via the tanker lorries will be mobilised and priority will be given to critical premises.
“Air Selangor is taking all measures to minimise the impact of water disruption to the affected consumers.
“Consumers at the affected areas are urged to store sufficient water, until the water supply returns,” it said.
