KUALA LUMPUR – Two premises at Taman Connaught, Cheras and Old Klang Road have been shut down by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for misusing their license to conduct prostitution activities.
A Malaysian citizen, four Vietnamese workers and three clients were in the premise during the investigation.
DBKL issued a compound notice under UUK 3 (1) Licensing of Trades, Businesses and Industries (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) By-Laws 2016 and seized several electrical and electronic items.
They also shut down the premise immediately under Section 101(1)(v) of the Local Government Act 1976.
Meanwhile, based on the investigation and surveillance on the second premise at Old Klang Road, DBKL found that the premise operated and conducted massage service without the approval of DBKL.
No worker was in the premise during the raid. There was only a local caretaker there.
