PAS strongly condemns the terrorism attack in London

KUALA LUMPUR PAS strongly condemns the terrorism attack in London when a van rammed into pedestrians followed by a stabbing spree which killed seven civilians and hurt 48.

Its President, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said, the incidence oppose to the true teachings of Islam which promote peace.

“Islam is against the killing of women, children and senior citizens. It also forbids the destruction of buildings and plants.

“He added, United Kingdom has practiced toleration on the Muslims. Muslims are free to practice their religion, work, get education, conduct businesses and live in peace there,” he said in a statement today.

In the incident which killed seven civilians, the three attackers were shot dead by the police after the van ran into pedestrian at London Bridge and a restaurant at Borough market last Saturday. The attackers then went into a stabbing rampage, targeting pedestrians, shouting “This is for Allah”. The Islamic State claimed the attack.

Elaborating further, Abdul Hadi also regrets more terrorism attacks happen after the 22 May incidence in Mancester.

“Prior to this, a suicide bomber killed 22 civilians including children and injured 59 others,” he said. – MalaysiaGazette.
