KUALA LUMPUR – The President of PAS was seen to be mocking former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad for the many unresolved cases during his reign as the premier.

According to Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, the old cases were left without solution and mostly forgotten.

“Many questioned my disinterest in 1MDB. Some see me as not uninterested to change due to my stand on 1MDB.

“Many also used this as a mighty weapon to create a shift in the leadership of the country.

“I am not included in the group of forgetful Malays, on the issues surrounding each Prime Minister since the 80’s.

“All of them were left unresolved, most were forgotten especially by the forgetful Malays,” he said in a statement today.

Abdul Hadi highlighted that the al-Quran emphasized on the changes of attitude and moral, not by changing the figure or individual.

“Changing the figure or individual will not lead to any changes as they have the same attitudes. The changes will lead to the same fall,” he explained.

According to him, 1MDB is only a part of the chains of unresolved problems.

“We used to have BMF, PERWAJA, KWSP, PETRONAS, Tabung Haji, forex speculations, Skyhawk, Maika Holdings and PKFZ.

“Now, we have 1MDB, bungalow in Penang and perhaps other issues. Justice was not served in any of them,” he added.

Meanwhile the Marang Member of Parliament did not agree with the foreign interventions in 1MDB as it may invite more trouble.

“It’s as though we’re drawing water by prodding a ship.

“I am interested in how dogs fight over a piece of bone in their territory. The dogs will not invite dogs from other territories to join them. Instead, they will chase the dogs from other territories away from joining them,” he said.

Thus, PAS cannot be a wagon of a train heading towards a wrong direction, by changing leadership with the concept of ‘2 x 2’ or ‘2 + 2’ where they lead to the same answer.

“PAS will only stand by the teachings of Islam and al-Quran,” he said. – MalaysiaGazette
