KUALA LUMPUR – A woman and six men have been remanded for six days beginning today to facilitate in the investigations of the robbery and rape of two nursery assistants in Ampang, two weeks ago.
Ampang Court Assistant Registrar, Roslan Mohd Nor issued the remand order on the seven individuals, aged 34 to 43 years.
In the incident at about 4 a.m. on 14 July, all the suspects were believed to have broken into a nursery in Ampang, robbed and raped two nursery assistants.
Selangor Criminal Investigation Department Chief, Senior Assistant Commissioner Fadzil Ahmad said, the suspects were believed to have splashed liquid bleach all over the victims’ bodies to destroy evidence after the incidence.
The suspects later fled with a television and the victims’ cell phones. -MalaysiaGazette
