10 Malaysians were involved in a fire in Clifton, Christchurch, New Zealand last Sunday.

KUALA LUMPUR – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that 10 Malaysians were affected in a fire incident at Clifton, Christchurch, New Zealand last Sunday, 10 September.

The fire broke out at 8.30 p.m. local time.

In a statement today, the ministry said that two of the victims were rushed to Christchurch General Hospital for treatment and are reportedly in a stable condition

“The High Commission of Malaysia in Wellington is currently monitoring the condition of the victims and will render consular assistance accordingly,” Wisma Putra said in a statement today.
