Johor announces special aid of min RM1,500

ISKANDAR PUTERI – The Johor State Government announced a special financial aid of half month’s wages at the minimum rate of RM1,500 to all employees of the Johor state government.

Its Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said, the aid will also include all Exco Members, State Assemblymen, Royal Jumaah Members, Johor Civil Service Commission Members, trainers at the Community Rehabilitation Centres and teachers of the Johor Islamic Kindergartens (TAJ).

“Employees with salary below RM3,000 will receive more than half month’s wages.

“We understand that these are beyond compare of their services and contributions to the public sector of Johor.

“Nevertheless, we are truly grateful,” he said during the 2018 Johor Budget presentation at the Johor State Assembly sitting today.

He added, the state government will never forget the contributions of the people who had served the in the civil sector.

Therefore, the government will also extend a special retirement aid of RM1,000 to all state civil servants who retires beginning 2018.

“In honouring the services of former State Assemblymen, the state government will increase their pensions to 60 percent from their salaries based on the period of their service, in line with the rate of pension for the parliamentary members,” he said.

All special aids will be distributed on next January.  – MalaysiaGazette
