KUALA LUMPUR – The Attorney General’s Chamber (AGC) is dissatisfied with the investigation paper involving the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad.
The investigation involved his alleged scandal video with another man’s wife.
Deputy Home Minister, Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed urged the public to be patient with the investigation and not jump into conclusions.
“The Attorney General has taken actions and he was not happy with the investigation papers. Thus, he could not decide on the charges. Therefore, please be patient until the case is resolved,” said Nur Jazlan during the Home Ministry debate at the Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives) today.
Earlier, DAP’s Member of Parliament Gobind Singh Deo insisted an explanation from the ministry as the investigation on the case seemed to take a very long time.
Therefore, Nur Jazlan said that the investigation papers had been returned back to the police on 3 October for them to complete their investigation on the case.
“The police had investigated on the viral video which was uploaded on the social media, which claimed that the DG of MACC, Tan Sri Dzuklifli had an affair with another man’s wife.
“An investigation paper had been submitted to the Attorney General’s Chamber on 17 October. Two weeks later, on 30 October, the investigation papers were returned to the police in order for them to complete the investigation,” he said.
A 37-year old businessman exposed the video by lodging a police report at the Wangsa Maju Police Headquarters.
The complainant claimed that the woman in the video has two children and she divorced last September following a third party involvement in their marriage.
The AGC established a special taskforce to monitor the investigation on Dzulkifli last 16 October under Section 498 of the Penal Code which deals with enticing or taking away or detaining with a criminal intent a married woman. –MalaysiaGazette
