KUALA LUMPUR – Despite the state has been ruled by the opposition for a very long time, the Barisan Nasional (BN) government has never side-lined Kelantan.

According to the UMNO Machang Chief, Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub, the state receives non-stop assistance from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak during each national budget presentation.

“Some people asked me, why do we need to take care of Kelantan? The President of UMNO has a different take on this. Thank you for making allocations for my state in every national budget.

“It is obvious that the President has never ditched Kelantan. He displayed the big heart of a national leader,” he said during the 71st UMNO General Assembly 2017 at the Merdeka Hall of the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur.

During the Budget 2018 presentation, Najib allocated RM2 billion for easy loan assistance and RM500 million for the development of infrastructure and tourism of Kelantan.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Jazlan said that the undivided concern of the President towards Kelantan has been proven by the increment of BN’s state seating in the state.

“After the GE12, Kelantan has given BN two parliamentary and six State Assembly seats. Nevertheless, in the GE13, Kelantan has provided us nine parliamentary and 12 State Assembly seats.

“The Kelantanese are positive towards BN and we are confident that the state will be ours,” he added. -MalaysiaGazette.
