PUTRAJAYA – The Muslims need to push aside all differences and unite in defending Jerusalem, urged Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
The Prime Minister also made a comparison of the total number of Muslims which far exceeds the Jews, but was unable to stop them from entering and finally conquering Palestine, which was once the holy city of Islam.
“This is a huge challenge to us as Muslims. There are 1.6 billion Muslims yet we fail to unite in facing the 13 million Jews in determining the fate of Jerusalem.
“There are only 13 million Jews. We lost to 13 million! This does not make any sense.
“If we don’t unite, if we keep fighting among ourselves, Allah said that we will be challenged and insulted if we don’t unite,” he said during the Save Jerusalem Solidarity Rally in Putra Mosque, Putrajaya after the Friday prayers today.
Najib’s speech was followed by the roar of Allahuakbar thrice by the thousands who attended the rally today.
The rally to state Malaysia’s stand in rejecting the declaration by America on Jerusalem as the capital of Israel recently was supposed to be attended by the President of PAS, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang. Nevertheless, he could not make it.
He was represented by his son, Khalil Abdul Hadi who also replaced him to deliver a speech during the assembly.
According to Najib, the assembly proved that the Malaysia can trigger the solidarity of Muslims in rejecting Israel’s abuse on the Palestinians.
“This is a historical day. We have put aside our political differences and come together to show that the Muslims in this country unite in rejecting the declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
“We will make this assembly as the catalyst of Muslims solidarity worldwide,” he added. – MalaysiaGazette
