KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz emphasized that MCA is not his friend.
During the 13th General Election (GE13) in 2013, the MCA division in Padang Rengas had boycotted him and it has caused his tension between his relationship with the Barisan Nasional component party.
A Chinese newspaper in an interview with Nazri reported that there is no media conference by the party that they had withdrawn their statement of boycotting the Minister of Tourism and Culture.
“The whole Padang Rengas MCA Division has boycotted me. They did not support me. What can I do? Thus, MCA is not my friend,” he told the newspaper.
Nazri added, the matter clearly showed who did not practice the spirit of BN in the first place.
According to him, the leaders in MCA need to pay attention on the actions of every division as the 14th General Election (GE14) will be coming soon.
Nazri also stood firm and said that he will not apologise to Tan Sri Robert Kuok after attacking the tycoon for criticising the BN government through his memoir.
He also reminded MCA to not turn that issue into a racial issue as they are ‘BN Ministers’ representing the BN government.
He added that he will return all criticisms made against the government, including those made by former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
“MCA needs to know that I was only commenting on this matter and I did not criticise anyone else in the Chinese community. I did not mention or attact MCA when I was commenting about Robert Kuok. I do not understand why MCA attacked me,” he said.
The UMNO Supreme Council member said, he is not afraid and will not apologise even if he will need to face the whole MCA election engine alone. – MalaysiaGazette
