DPM warned on post GE14 surprise attacks plan

CHERAS – Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi disclosed that certain individuals and blocks are planning to create ruckus after the 14th General Election.

Zahid said that the police are examining the source of information provided to them.

“I know that some parties will make a last minute surprise attack. We have identified the individuals involved and who would be making such provocations.

“We know. We know who wants to launch attacks. This is not a warning, this is not a warning, this is not a warning.

“Actions will be taken against those individuals and organisations who launch last minute attacks during the GE14,” he said in his speech during the field visit with the PDRM at Maktab PDRM in Cheras today.

Also present at the event were the Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Haron, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed and the Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim.

Zahid, who is also the Home Minister warned all political parties not to create controversies and disturbances which can trigger public peace.

“I am warning all political parties not to provoke the police. Do not try to create ruckus at any location.

“The police have identified those individuals and we have the list of hotspots for the surprise attacks,” he said.

He also reminded the police to not use force throughout their duty during the GE.

They are also asked to treat all citizens fairly so that the national security and harmony can be kept.

“We hope that the GE14 will be the most peaceful and polite GE. There shouldn’t be any problem if everyone give their corporation,” he added. -MalaysiaGazette.
