KUALA LUMPUR – About 200 supporters of BERSIH 2.0 gathered at the Tugu Negara area in a protest led by its Chairman, Shahrul Aman Mohd Sari as an objection to the presentation for delimitation of electoral boundary at the Parliament today.

The group had gathered at the area since 8.00 a.m. and planned to submit the memorandum to the Speaker of Dewan Rakyat (House of Representative), Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia to withdraw the presentation of the Delimitation Exercise Research Report.

Also present at the assembly is its former Chairman, Maria Chin Abdullah, the Chairman of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the President of PPBM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the President of Parti Amanah Negara Mohamad Sabu, Advisor of DAP Lim Kit Siang and the Vice-President of PKR Nurul Izzah Anwar.

Red shirts leader Datuk Seri Jamal Md. Yunos who earlier said that the gang will stop BERSIH 2.0 from their mission was not seen at the Parliament as of 10.00 a.m this morning.

More thant 200 policemen including the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) were placed outside the Parliament, including the entrance to Tugu Negara to prevent unforeseen events.

The Delimitation of Electoral Boundary Research Report will be presented to the Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives) today. -MalaysiaGazette
