KUALA LUMPUR – “I don’t need to be admitted into the hospital to gain sympathy. People have been giving their support to me,” said Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in reference to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s statement yesterday that the oppositions may admit the Chairman of Pakatan Harapan (PH) into a hospital prior to the 14th General Election (GE14) to gain sympathy votes.

During the mega political talk at P119 Titiwangsa last night, Mahathir also took the chance to apologise to all Malaysians for promoting Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak before this which made him the Prime Minister.

“I am sorry. It was me who endorsed him (Najib) for the Prime Minister’s post.

“That was the biggest mistake I’ve made in my life,” he said.

Repeating the script where the Prime Minister was allegedly involved in corruption by establishing 1MDB, Mahathir managed to mesmerise the crowd of about 1,000 supporters to stay put on the field of E Block in Desar Pandan despite the heavy downpour.

Besides Najib and Rosmah, Mahathir also condemned the leadership of PAS who refused to join PH in this 14th General Election (GE14).

At the same time, Mahathir also accused PAS for receiving bribes from UMNO to split the votes and grant free winning for BN in GE14 which will take place this 9 May.

“PAS cannot win. They won about 11 – 12 seats before joining the coalition. After joining DAP, they managed to win 25 seats.

“Although they are alone now, they are actually with BN. They received money allegedly in donation but that was actually bribery.

“Look at their campaign (PAS) this time. Flags everywhere. Where did they get their money?” he asked.

Besides Mahathir, the Presidenr of PKR Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Vice-President of PKR, Tian Chua, the President of PPBM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and the President of Parti Amanah Negara, Mohammad Sabu were also present at the talk. -MalaysiaGazette
