
PUTRAJAYA – The newly elected President of UMNO Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is expected to be at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) until late evening.
According to a source from the commission, Ahmad Zahid will allegedly give his statements for 9 hours.
“Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid may finish giving his statements at 7.00 p.m.,” said the MACC source to MalaysiaGazette.
The former Deputy Prime Minister was summoned to give his statements for two cases under the MACC investigations.
As of 1.00 pm just now, Ahmad Zahid has spent three hours at the MACC.
He arrived at the commission at 9.50 a.m. in a white coloured Toyota Vellfire with SAM38 vehicle registration number.
The Member of Parliament of Bagan Datuk was summoned to give his statement on an allegation where a foundation fund was used to pay for both his and his wife’s credit card amounting to RM800,000.
It was also believed that the MACC would be recording Ahmad Zahid’s statement on his meeting with the royal family of Saudi Arabia who made donations to former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak. -MalaysiaGazette
