PUTRAJAYA – The stepson of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Riza Aziz, 48, arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) at 1.32 p.m. to get his statements recorded.
The son of Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor was summoned by the MACC to assist in the investigation into the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.
Clad in a black suit with yellow t-shirt, he arrived at the building in a silver coloured KIA Sorenta with the car registration number WC1044W.
Riza was seen to enter the commission with several lawyers.
Nevertheless, he did not give any comment to the media.
Riza Aziz, a film producer in Hollywood was allegedly linked to the 1MDB controversies, where he was said to have used the funds from the state-owned company to fund his film.
The MACC has started to call upon several individuals since May to complete their investigation on the government strategic investigation company, including Najib.
The former Prime Minister gave his statements on 22 and 24 May, followed by his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor on 5 June.
Last week, the 1MDB Special Taskforce had frozen over 900 bank accounts, including UMNO headquarters and Selangor UMNO to facilitate further investigations on the accounts receiving funds from 1MDB. -MalaysiaGazette
