KUALA LUMPUR – The government is scrutinising all development and infrastructures plan, including the proposal to abolish toll as presented in the Pakatan Harapan’s 100 days promises.

Its newly minted Minister of Works Baru Bian said that the proposal to abolish toll by the new Pakatan Harapan government must be fulfilled.

“However, we cannot make hasty decision on this (toll abolishment) as it would take so time so that its implementation is organised and for the interests of the people,” he said during an Aidilfitri Open House of the ministry today.

Also present at the event was Deputy Minister of Works Mohd Anuar Mohd Tahir.

He added, the ministry is also studying the infrastructure upgrade and the abolishment of toll from various aspects and is trying their best to make the Pakatan Harapan’s manifesto a reality.

Meanwhile, Baru also revealed that both his deputy and him are still in the learning process. They are getting a grasp and trying to understand the functions and administration of the ministry and its policies. -MalaysiaGazette
