KUALA LUMPUR – PAS criticised the performance of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government in conjunction with its 100 days administration under Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Its President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said, the promises made by PH during the 14th General Election (GE14) were merely political gimmicks.
“The 10 promises in 100 days contained in the Pakatan Harapan Manifesto were merely GE gimmicks, which includes the promises which cannot be fulfilled,” he said in a statement today.
Hadi further explained that the promises offered by Dr Mahathir obviously could not be fulfilled although the 100 days timeline will expire this Saturday.
He said, it was beyond the expectations of the PH government as the national economic situation did not permit.
“It is obvious that the promises cannot be fulfilled and it was beyond the means and capabilities of the government such as, to reduce the prices of fuel immediately and to overcome inflation immediately.
“Changing GST to SST is more like switching the pinch on right hand to your left. All these oppress the people,” he said.
Earlier today, the Deputy President of PAS Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said, the performance of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government at this moment is between 27 to 30 percent only.
According to Tuan Ibrahim, the failure had earned them a D grade for their inability to fulfil their 10 promises within the 100 days time-frame as contained in their GE14 manifesto. -MalaysiaGazette
