Paris Saint-Germain strikers Neymar and Kylian Mbappe both left the field injured as Brazil and France earned wins in friendly internationals on Tuesday.

Neymar went off early with a groin injury as Brazil beat Cameroon 1-0 in Milton Keynes, England, while Mbappe suffered a shoulder injury in the first-half as world champions France defeated Uruguay 1-0 in Paris.

France, who failed to progress to the Nations League final four, edged Uruguay, with Oliver Giroud converting a penalty in the 52nd minute after a Martin Caceres handball.

Les Bleus lost Mbappe, who landed awkwardly after a challenge from Uruguay goalkeeper Martin Campana and was unable to continue.

Brazil earned a sixth straight win and sixth clean sheet when Richarlison headed in from a corner just before half-time against Cameroon.

But striker Neymar was an early casualty when he left the pitch clutching his groin.

A largely experimental Italy meanwhile clinched a stoppage time 1-0 win against the United States in a friendly in the Belgian town of Genk Tuesday.

Substitute Matteo Politano struck seconds from the final whistle after Italy missed several chances against a lacklustre US side.

Among matches elsewhere Albania defeated Wales 1-0, South Korea defeated Uzbekistan 4-0, Japan beat Kyrgyzstan 4-0, and Australia beat Lebanon 3-0.
