KUALA LUMPUR – Sabah UMNO is expected to be disbanded and an announcement will be made by the Information Chairman of the state soon.

An online media reported earlier that four Members of Parliament (MPs) from Sabah UMNO will leave the party as independent MPs. They have stated their support for the Pakatan Harapan government.

The four MPs who are alleged to ditch the party are Abd Rahim Bakri (Kudat), Azizah Mohd Dun (Beaufort), Zakaria Mohd Edris (Libaran) and Ronald Kiandee (Beluran).

Kiandee is the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

Nevertheless, the MP of Kinabatangan, Bung Moktar Radin was said to remain loyal to UMNO.

UMNO has won 8 out of 26 parliamentary seat in Sabah during the 14th General Election (GE14).

Nevertheless, Datuk Seri Anifah Aman (Kimanis) and Rozman Isli (Labuan) has earlier exited the party.

Meanwhile, the MP of Sipitang, Yamanani Hafez Musa, has yet to oath as the Member of Parliament.

He was given until 15 January to be sworn in or the seat will be declared vacant to make way for a fresh by-election. -MalaysiaGazette
