KUALA LUMPUR- The Member of Parliament of Permatang Pauh, Nurul Izzah Anwar requested certain quarters to not comment on her behalf, following her resignation as the Vice-President of PKR.

Referring to the statement from Rais Hussin, the Strategic Chief of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) in a news portal today, Nurul Izzah tweeted, “Kindly refrain from ever commenting on my behalf.”

In that statement, Rais stated his confidence that Nurul Izzah will retract her resignation as she is very committed on the reformist agenda.

Besides resigning as the Vice-President of PKR, Nurul Izzah also tendered her resignation as the Penang PKR Chairman and Permatang Pauh PKR Division Chief. She also relinquished all positions within the government.

Earlier, the PKR Deputy Chief of Permatang Pauh, Dr. Afif Baharuddin said that he respected Nurul Izzah’s decision and demanded the party leadership to be serious in seeing why it happened. -MalaysiaGazette
