KUALA LUMPUR – The MI-17 helicopter of the Fire and Rescue Department was used to fly the remains of Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim back to his hometown in Kedah.

The fireman succumbed to his injuries at 9.41 p.m. last night at the National Heart Institute after fighting for his life for three weeks. He was brutally attacked while on duty during the Sri Maha Mariamman temple riot.

The helicopter took off from the Fire and Rescue Department Airbase and will land in Sekolah Kebangsaan Tebengau in Kuala Kedah.

Meanwhile, preparation works to receive the remains of Adib is ongoing in Kedah.

Several officers from the Kedah Fire and Rescue Department is doing the final preparation works at SK Tebengau, while waiting for the arrival of Muhammad Adib. – MalaysiaGazette
