KUALA LUMPUR – The Members of Parliament have been warned to not raise any issues on the gay sex videos implicating a minister in the coming Parliamentary sitting.

The Speaker of Dewan Rakyat Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof said, it is against the regulations of the Parliament to raise issues under police investigation.

“Such issues cannot be raised during a Parliamentary sitting as it could affect the investigation process.

“It is immature to raise the issue,” he said as reported by a news portal.

The warning was issued following the shocking revelation by PKR Santubong Youth Chief Haziq Aziz last week that he was one of the duo in the gay sex video.

Haziq also named the Minister of Economic Affairs Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali as the other man in the viral gay sex video clips. Azmin strongly denied the allegations and threatened to take legal actions against the perpetrators.

According to Ariff, it would be better to leave it to the hands of the authorities to investigate the issue.

“There could be prejudice and we do not allow that,” he said.

He was also quoted saying that he will not hesitate to take actions against any Parliamentary members who raise the issue in accordance to the regulations of the Parliament. -MalaysiaGazette
