KUALA LUMPUR – Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz was sacked from his position as the Private Secretary to the Deputy Minister of Primary Industry effective of 18 June.
In a statement, the ministry said that the decision to sack Haziq was made following his confession of being the man in the lewd gay sex video through his Facebook post on 12 June.
“The Ministry views this as a very serious violation of its values, ethics and the Code of Conduct, Public Officers Regulations.
“Therefore, the ministry has issued a show cause letter which he has replied.
“The Ministry wishes to categorically assert that it will never tolerate any such scandalous behaviour amongst any of its staff member that brings the Ministry into disrepute and odium.
“With this, the Ministry completely disassociates itself from Haziq Abdullah,” it said in a statement today,
Haziq admitted that he is the man in the viral gay sex video. He also alleged that his ‘partner’ in the video was the Minister of Economic Affairs Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.
Azmin however, denied the scandalous allegation.
Haziq was later detained by the police at KLIA2 and he was released the following day on police bail after recording his statement. -MalaysiaGazette
