KUALA LUMPUR – The President of PKR, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that the people would like to know the authenticity of the lewd video involving the former Santubong Keadilan Youth Chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz with an individual alleged to be his Deputy, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.

According to him, the people also wants to know about the mastermind who distributed the four gay sex videos which went viral last month.

“Two phases. One, is the video authentic and who distributed it?

“Thus, the people wants to know these two things,” he said to the media when asked about the arrest of Haziq along with five other individuals yesterday.

Anwar who heads the PKR said, the party will leave it to the police to run their investigation on the case.

“That is the process of the police but many questioned why was it only a part. Let the police answer that,” he said.

Yesterday, the Magistrate Court approved the six-day-remand order on Haziq and five other individuals to assist into the sex videos which implicated Azmin Ali.

The remand order which will expire on 20 July was issued by Magistrate Namirah Hanum Mohamed Albaki under Section 377B of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998.

The Section 377B of the Penal Code calls for whoever voluntarily commits carnal intercourse against the order of nature and upon conviction shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to twenty years, and shall also be liable to whipping.

Whereas, the Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998 deals with the improper use of network facilities or network service, where an offence could be fined RM50,000 or be imprisoned for a maximum of one year. -MalaysiaGazette
