KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has verified that the viral gay sex video is authentic.

However, the Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador said, the confirmation my MCMC does not include the identity of the perpetrators in the video.

He was quote saying that in an interview with RTM through TV1 last night.

“So, we’ll sent it to the cyber security to determine if the video is genuine. Can the cyber security determine the people involved in the video? They said the otherwise. They said, the video is authentic, however, they cannot be 100 percent sure who the individuals are in the video.

“As the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), I cannot add on to that as I wish as it could be brought to the court,” he said.

Therefore, Abdul Hamid hopes that the people can understand his restriction as the IGP and solving the case is not as easy as it seems. Thorough investigation needs to be done.

Earlier, many people, including the opposition and the government questioned why the public is not being informed on the authenticity of the controversial sex video. The focus on investigation was mainly concentrated on the mastermind for distributing the videos. -MalaysiaGazette
