KUALA LUMPUR – The 50th witness of the SRC International proceeding, Cheah Tek Kuang, shared his bad impression about fugitive businessman, Jho Low or Low Taek Jho.
The former Group Managing Director of Ambank testified that Jho Low could not be trusted and has bad time management.
Anger and disgust was seen in Tek Kuang’s expression during the cross-examination with Defence Counsel Harvinderjit, while he revealed that he did not like Jho Low.
“I’ll tell you what kind of person Jho Low is. I don’t like him at all. He is not punctual. If he says 1.30, he will not show up at 1.30 pm.
“He (Jho Low) is a liar. I don’t like him at all. I’m very disgusted by him. Actually, we cannot go near such people,” he told Harvinderjit.
Yesterday, Tek Kuang admitted that he met Jho Low at the residence of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak at Langgak Duta in 2011.
When Harvinderjit asked if Joanna Yu, the Ambank Relationship Manager to Najib had contacted Jho Low and Najib directly, Tek Kuang said that he does not know about that.
Harvinderjit also asked about the phone model used by Tek Kuang in 2011, if it was Blackberry or Sambung and if it was a gift from Jho Low.
However, Tek Kuang said that he is not excited about phones and he is only using a Nokia phone now.
Tek Kuang also asked if Harvinderjit wanted to take a look at his current Nokia mobile phone.
He also said that he bought the phone himself and did not receive any mobile phone gift from Jho Low. -MalaysiaGazette
