KUALA LUMPUR – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will be calling Dong Zong, Koon Yew Yin dan Dr Zakir Naik for questioning over their controversial and sensitive statements.

Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said, Malaysia is a multi-racial, multi-religion country and every citizen must respect and celebrate its diversity.

He also confirmed that besides the Chinese educational group, prominent businessman and controversial preacher, several other individuals have also been called up by the police for investigation while a few others are currently being monitored by the police, following reports lodged against them.

Investigation is ongoing and actions will be taken against them, including, to charge them under Section 504 of the Penal Code if there were enough of evidences.

“I would like to emphasize that the PDRM and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) are always monitoring the statements made by individuals which may cause public unrests, especially in the social media.

If there is enough evidence against them, they can be charged under Section 504 of the Penal Code

“Therefore, the social media users are reminded to always use the platform wisely,” he said in a statement.

Muhyiddin also reminded everyone, including foreigners that the enforcement agencies under the Home Ministry will not hesitate to take legal actions on anyone who threaten national harmony and peace.

Thus, everyone should stop issuing assumptions but wait for the full report from the authorities before spreading accusations and slanders.

He also invited the public who comes across slanderous, racist and seditious postings on social media to take a screen shot of them and send them to the official police social media accounts at the following:
