KUALA LUMPUR – The journey from the capital to Penang can be shortened to a mere hour with the help of the flying car.
Minister of Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof shared the benefit of the car which is expected to be realised next year.
”I would like to state here that, we need 4 hours to drive to Penang now. Some entrepreneurs are discussing that we can go to Penang within an hour using the flying car. I’m not saying that it will definitely happen but, we’ve had early discussion in ensuring that it can be realised in the near future, in year 2020,” he said at the Parliament in reply to Khairy Jamaluddin (BN-Rembau)’s additional request for Redzuan to provide a specific date for the flying car project to be launched.
Besides launching the new innovation, at the same time, Redzuan said new law needs to be amended for the flying car.
“For example, if you were to fly a drone, you would need a permit from the Putrajaya. For instance, you won’t be allowed to fly a drone without permit.
“The permit can be applied within few minutes, the insurance can be purchased online,” he said.
Last August, Redzuan said that the first flying car of Malaysia is 85 percent completed and it is being constructed by a Malaysian company in Japan. -MalaysiaGazette
