KUALA LUMPUR – PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) will close all reload booths at its toll plazas beginning today (24 October) until 29 October to ease traffic congestion expected in conjunction with the Deepavali celebrations this Sunday.
In a statement, PLUS said estimated a 17 percent increase in traffic of two million vehicles during the peak period (25 -26 October) and 28 October compared to 1.7 million vehicles on normal days.
“Traffic at the toll plazas will be affected motorists are queueing up at the reload lanes, which would inconvenient the other motorists,” said the statement.
As such, motorists are advised to plan their journey ahead and to reload their Touch ‘n Go or PLUSMiles cards.
Nevertheless, motorists can still reload their TnG cards at automated teller machines (ATM), rest and service (R&R) areas, petrol stations and 24-hour convenience stores, adding that the e-Wallet PayDirect service will not be operational. -MalaysiaGazette
