KUALA LUMPUR – Although he has not read the latest proposal from Widad Business Group Sdn. Bhd. (Widad), Managing Director of Khazanah Nasional Bhd., Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan maintained his position on not interested in selling the PLUS Expressway Bhd. (PLUS).
“Tun (Dr. Mahathir Mohamad) has made a statement earlier that there is no interesting offer as of now.
”So, I hold on to that.
“We are not in the mood of selling that asset.
“I think, I will not change.
“I have yet to see that proposal,” he told the journalists after attending the PNB Corporate Summit today.
In an announcement today, Widad said that it has revised the offer made on PLUS to RM5.3 billion with the proposal to acquire 100 percent of stakes on the equity of the highway concession.
Its Executive Chairman, Tan Sri Muhammad Ikmal Opat Abdullah said that the company has made an offer of RM5.3 billion in cash consideration during their presentation to the Ministry of Works yesterday. -MalaysiaGazette
