PONTIAN – The President of MCA, Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong will have a company at the Dewan Rakyat if the voters in the Tanjung Piai Parliament give their mandate to MCA’s candidate, Datuk Seri Wee Jeck Seng in the by-election this 16 November.

The Chairman of Barisan Nasional (BN), Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said, MCA will also have a brighter future and the Chinese community would have a louder voice when that happens.

According to him, the Chinese are only being represented by MCA which has one seat in the Dewan Rakyat and that number needs to be increased.

“If Wee Jeck Seng wins, Wee Ka Siong will have a friend. When MCA has two seats at the Parliament, MCA has a brighter future in the National Cooperation.

“That is why we want Tanjung Piai to be represented by the Member of Parliament (MP) who can bring the voice of the people. We want them to be the voice of the people,” said the President of UMNO in conjunction with the Tanjung Piai by-election campaign at Kampung Rimba Terjun.

Also present at the talk were the President of PAS Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang; Secretary-General of UMNO, Tan Sri Annuar Musa; Secretary-General of PAS, Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan; President of MCA, Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong; Deputy President of MIC, Datuk M Saravanan and the Johor State Election Engine Director, Datuk Ir Hasni Mohamad.

Ahmad Zahid said, placing Jeck Seng in the Dewan Rakyat is a vital movement to show that the Chinese voice needs to be respected.

He said, although BN and PAS have become the opposition and has no allocation, however, the spirit of educating the government needs to be instilled within the supporters of the two biggest Malay parties, including the components in BN.

He further added that the National Cooperation is not only a coalition between UMNO, MCA and MIC but it also include PAS. -MalaysiaGazette
