PONTIAN – The voters in the Tanjung Piai parliamentary area have decided on the representative they wanted to represent them, the Deputy President of UMNO, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said.

Based on the information he received, the voters in Tanjung Piai had already made up their decisions before the candidate nomination day on 2 November.

“Actually, many people (voters) have decided. They made the decision even before the candidate nomination day.

“Nevertheless, I am very positive. The people in Tanjung Piai have decided. Say what you want or wish.

“Perhaps there could be changes of two to three percent, but most of them have decided,” he said during a political speech at Kampung Telok Kerang last night.

Meanwhile, the former Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Mohamad Hasan also said that the High Court verdict which ordered the former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to enter defence yesterday would not affect the votes in the by-election.

“That day, the prosecution witness could provide evidences and such. Therefore, now, it’s the defence’s turn to provide evidences which can assist the case,” he added. -MalaysiaGazette
