PETALING JAYA – The Keadilan Youth Wing (AMK) and Women’s wing will be officiated separately during the PKR National Congress next week.
According to the Communications Director of PKR, Fahmi Fadzil, the events will be held separately as the AMK Congress will be officiated by the Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail while the Deputy President of PKR, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali will officiate the party’s Women’s wing on 5 December.
“I have yet to receive any information if Datuk Seri Azmin will be attending the congress. That would be the secretariat for the Women Congress,” he said at the headquarters of PKR today.
Elaborating further, Fahmi said that Azmin’s attendance to officiate the Women’s Congress has yet to be informed to the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the Congress.
“That is under the organisers of the Women’s Secretariat. As of now, the Political Bureau and the Secretariat for the National Congress have not been informed about the matter,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Press Secretary of Azmin, Wong King Chai confirmed that the Member of Parliament of Gombak will attend the congress and officiate the Women’s Wing.
“Yes,” he said briefly.
The PKR National Congress scheduled to be held in Melaka next week has created controversies even before it began when the Permanent Chairman of Keadilan Youth Muhamad Mizan Adli Mohd Nor and his Deputy, Mohd Ramly Ahmad were terminated.
In a letter signed by the PKR Youth National Secretary Ahmad Syukri Che Ab Razak, it listed out several reasons for the dismissal, which include, both of them were above the age of 35, which effectively breached age eligibility for the posts. – MalaysiaGazette
