KUALA LUMPUR – Former Research Officer at the PKR office, Muhammed Yusoff Rawther continues giving his statement to the police at Bukit Aman for the second day.
He was believed to leave the Bukit Aman Police Headquarters through the back exit after giving his statements for over three hours.
The matter was verified by his lawyer, Datuk Mohamed Haniff Kathri Abdulla.
In a statement, Haniff said that Yusoff left Bukit Aman at 3.30pm.
“Once again, just like yesterday, Yusoff Rawther gave his full cooperation to the police. And, if it is needed, he will do it again and give further statements from time to time when requested by the police to ensure that the investigation on his report is thorough and complete,” he said.
Earlier today, the media reported that the father and brother of Yusoff from Penang came to Bukit Aman to assist in the police investigation.
It was believed that another woman was also called to give statement to the police.
Yesterday, Yusoff spent almost seven hours to give statement to the Classified Crime Investigation Unit.
Yusoff was called to give statements following his report that he was sexually assaulted by the President of PKR, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, October last year.
The investigation was made under Section 354 of The Penal Code for outraging modesty.
Yusoff made a statutory declaration on 19 November before lodging a report at the Sentul District Police Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. -MalaysiaGazette
