KUALA LUMPUR – After giving his statements two days in a row, today, Muhammed Ali Mohamed Idris, father of the former Research Assistant to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Muhammed Yusoff Rawther was called by the police to get his statements recorded at the Penang Police Station.
According to the Facebook page named Solidariti Buat Muhammed Yusoff Rawther (Solidarity for Muhammed Yusoff Rawther) said that Yusoff Rawther had to rush to Penang to accompany his father, who was called by the police to record his statement.
“He got his statements recorded twice for 8 hours and 3 hours prior to this. Then, it is his brothers’ turn.
“Please pray for the for the family of Muhammed Yusoff Rawther so that they remain strong and steadfast for the dignity of their family.
“Today, Yusoff had to rush back to Penang to accompany his father, who would be getting his statement recorded at the Police Station there, by the team from Bukit Aman,” the social media page said.
Muhammed Yusoff was the former employee of the President of PKR. He made a statutory declaration that on 19 November that he was sexually assaulted by Anwar.
In the declaration, Muhammed Yusoff claime that the incident took place at Anwar’s house in Segambut on 2 October 2018, during the fourth day of Port Dickson by-election campaign contested by Anwar.
The social media page also revealed that Muhammed Yusoff was not only stressed out by the police investigation but he was also being pestered by Anwar’s people.
“Yusoff’s family and himself are ready to give their full cooperation in search of justice.
“If the offender is a commoner, he would have been arrested and remanded. Unfortunately in this case, the complainant is being pressured,” said the post. -MalaysiaGazette
