KUALA LUMPUR – “Perhaps I’ll resign tomorrow. You’ll never know,” said the Minister of Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md. Yusof when asked if there would be new resignation by the ministers after Dr Maszlee Malik.
Elaborating on the issue, Mohd Redzuan who is fondly known as Pak Wan said, it is common to change the leadership in the Cabinet and there is nothing negative about it.
“He can dissolve the cabinet and many other things based on his power as the Prime Minister,” said the Member of Parliament of Alor Gajah.
When asked about the opposition calling for more Ministers and Deputy Ministers to follow the footsteps of Maszlee following their poor performance, Mohd Redzuan said that anyone is free to give their personal opinion.
However, he said, the opinion ought to be constructive.
“Everyone can give their statements, criticisms, opinion but it may not necessary represent the truth.
“Only the Prime Minister himself knows. I don’t know why YB Maszlee resigned,” he added.R
Redzuan was among the minister who often receives criticisms, especially over the flying car project.
Yesterday, Maszlee, the Member of Parliameng of Simpang Renggam made a shocking announcement on his resignation as the Minister of Education beginning today.
He said, the decision was made after consulting Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in a two-hour meeting before the special news conference was held. -MalaysiaGazette
