KUALA LUMPUR – The system capacity of Touch ‘n Go e-wallet will be upgraded following the high traffic volume using the application to claim the RM30 e-Tunai Rakyat which started today.

The e-wallet service provider said, with the improvement, they have witnessed the number of users who had successfully claimed the money at around 12.00pm today.

“We truly appreciate your patience and our team is working hard to ensure that our application returns to its optimum efficiency as soon as possible,” said the company to the news report by MalaysiaGazette following public complaints on the difficulties in claiming the RM30 incentive using the Touch ‘N Go e-wallet application.

The netizens expressed their dissatisfaction when the e-wallet system of the company suffered system interruption during the RM30 application process.

In that statement, it also thanked the trust and confidence of Malaysians in using their service in claiming the e-Tunai Rakyat.

“We hope that Malaysians will continue to support us and we will continue to provide values through various campaigns for everyone in their cashless journey with us in the future,” it said.

The e-Tunai Rakyat programme is open to all Malaysian citizens aged 18 years and above with an annual income below RM100,000. They may choose to claim the RM30 incentive through one of the three main e-wallet service providers, namely, Grab, Boost and Touch ‘N Go. -MalaysiGazette
