KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim urged everyone in Pakatan Harapan (PH) to stop discussing about the power transition issue in public.
The President PKR wanted everyone to respect the consensus they achieved in January 2018.
“I have given my guarantee to support Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in his effort in steering the country, especially in strengthening the economy.
“PH and Tun Dr Mahathir have repeatedly emphasized the commitment on the agreed power transition process.
“Therefore, we ought to respect that decision so that it can happen peacefully and and orderly,” he said in a statement today.
Answering the Otai Reformasi 1998 who criticised and belittled the achievement of PH cabinet under the leadership of Dr Mahathir, Anwar said that Dr Idris Ahmad has nothing to be proud of.
Idris, who is also a state assemblyman from Ijok was reportedly saying that the government is giving a bad impression to the people after ruling the country for a 20 months.
According to him, the situation would only make things worse for the government to continue leading the country.
At the same time, DAP Central Leader, Ronnie Liu also shared the tone with the Member of Parliament of Gelugor, Ramkarpal Singh in criticising Dr. Mahathir.
Ronnie, the Sungai Pelek State Assemblyman praised Ramkarpal for his bravery in telling the truth to the Prime Minister.
“It is time for our beloved Prime Minister to think deeply on the total achievement of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government under his leadership.
“Before it is too late, no one in PH wants to be known as the one-term-government. We all want PH to continue to excel and fulfil everything we promised,” said Ronnie. -MalaysiaGazette
